Hi, I’m Soph

I’m the founder of Helping Hands & Hearts, and at the heart of my work is a genuine passion for supporting children and families in a way that feels calm, respectful, and deeply human.

I created Helping Hands & Hearts to offer care that goes beyond supervision care that prioritises emotional safety, trust, and understanding. I know how important it is for parents to feel confident in who they’re leaving their child with, and I don’t take that trust lightly.

My Background

I have experience working with children across a range of ages and needs, including children with additional needs. This has shaped my approach to care, one that is flexible, patient, and responsive rather than rigid or one-size-fits-all.

I understand that every child is different, every family is unique, and that behaviour is often a form of communication. My role is to listen, support, and create an environment where children feel safe enough to be themselves.

My Approach to Care

My approach is child-centred and relationship-focused. I work to build calm, trusting connections with children while maintaining consistency and clear boundaries.

Care is always tailored to each child’s needs, routines, and emotional wellbeing. I take the time to understand what helps a child feel settled and supported, and I work collaboratively with families to ensure care aligns with their values and expectations.

What You Can Expect
